THE JOB

As an Electrical Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing electrical systems. As an integral member of our maintenance team, you'll conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, troubleshoot circuit issues, and apply your expertise to install, rebuild, or repair electrical components. With your extensive experience in PLCs, electronics, and drives, you'll provide leadership and mentorship to fellow electricians, ensuring top-notch workmanship and adherence to safety standards. From assisting with service calls to recommending equipment modifications, your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our operations.

REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking an Electrical Technician with a solid foundation, starting with a Secondary School diploma and further education from college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, boasting a minimum of 10 years in related fields. Proficiency in hand tools and a deep understanding of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components are paramount. Adaptability is key, as this role requires flexibility in handling changing priorities and procedures. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, possessing strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in teams or independently. Personal attributes such as integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, and ethical values are highly valued. Adeptness in mathematical concepts applicable to the position, coupled with organizational and strategic planning abilities, is crucial. Moreover, the candidate should demonstrate proficiency in contract writing, presentation, and verbal communication, with the capability to interact effectively with various stakeholders. A solid understanding of the industry and service area is expected, along with high-level critical thinking skills for problem-solving. The ability to manage overlapping projects and troubleshoot advanced distributive control systems, including PLCs and multi-motor coordinated drive systems, is essential for success in this role.
