For more information on VersaBank, please visit our website at are currently looking to add a Linux Systems Administrator to our IT Infrastructure & Security team. This is an in-office role, and will be located in London, Ontario.As the Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible to ensure our systems and applications function efficiently and seamlessly. With a strong focus on improving and automating you will maintain the Bank’s IT infrastructure working closely with key stakeholders on the IT team. Primary Responsibilities include:Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systemsMonitor system/network performance and ensure high availability and reliabilityImplement security best practices and perform regular system updates and patchesAutomate IT operations and processesManage user permissions and access controlsCreate and maintain technical documentation for systems configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidesCollaborate with other teams to optimize system performance and resolve issues promptlyWhat you'll need to be successful in this role:5 years of hands-on experience as a systems administratorPost Secondary education in a related field or equivalent experienceAdvanced experience and a deep understanding of Linux internalsExperience and strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocolsExperience writing code using modern programming / scripting languages.Excellent analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solvingAbility and willingness to learn and upgrade technical skillsUnderstanding of compliance frameworks is an assetWe offer excellent career advancement opportunities, an informal, positive work environment, and a very competitive compensation package that includes base salary, an outstanding benefit package, tuition refund program, pension supplement, fitness club membership and participation in an attractive incentive award program.If working for a ‘non-traditional’ bank with an entrepreneurial flair appeals to you, we encourage you to apply.
