Alquemy’s Brampton Client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team.

This is a long term contract position with a hybrid work model of 3 days on-site. Reliability and CGP clearances are required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Performing Environmental Analysis
  2. Performing Shielding Analysis
  3. Performing Charging Analysis
  4. Performing Single Event Effects Criticality Analysis (SEECA)
  5. Performing Total Ionizing Dose (TID) Analysis
  6. Performing Displacement Damage Dose (DDD) Analysis
  7. Performing Worst Case Analysis (WCA)
  8. Performing Reliability Analysis
  9. Calculating Figure of Merit (FOM)
  10. Planning and executing board and unit level testing at Co60 Proton and Heavy Ion Irradiation facilities
  11. Performing Sector Shielding and Reverse Monte Carlo Analysis using FASTRAD
  12. Development & Verification of System Level Electrical Specifications and Requirements, pertaining to Radiation and Charging
  13. High-speed digital and analog board design including schematic entry, circuit simulations, parts stress analysis, PCB layout design, and support to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) drawings and manufacturing
  14. Developing test plans and procedures
  15. Technical presentations to customers for design reviews
  16. Interacting with international vendors and partners in support of part testing
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) degree is required
  • 4-8 years of professional experience in Electronics Design and/or Analysis is required
  • Knowledge of Space Radiation Effects and Modelling Tools is required
  • Knowledge of Space Charging Effects and Modelling Tools is required
  • Experience with FASTRAD is required
  • M. Eng, MASc, or PhD in Engineering is an asset
  • Experience using electrical CAD tools such as OrCAD, Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, Matlab, and PSPICE Simulators is an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organization skills
  • Strong human relations skills, and dedication to meet project deadlines
