JOB SUMMARY

Woodbine Entertainment Group is looking for a highly creative and ambitious motion graphic designer that is proactive, innovative and has a work ethic to match.

Is that you? If so, as Woodbine Entertainment’s Freelance Motion Graphic Designer, you will work to build the online footprint of Woodbine’s various verticals, including the sport of horse racing, wagering, hospitality and our many entertainment offerings. All while trying to grow our reach and bring critical thinking to our day-to-day content and broadcast output.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Drive corporate business objectives through creative graphic design

·Create and edit both still and motion graphics for Woodbine’s social media channels, website and broadcast properties

·Work alongside Creative Production & Design Manager to conceptualize and create originalcontent for Woodbine’s social media platforms, Network broadcasts, simulcasts and other broadcast properties.

·Work closely with producers and editors in the creation of content for our off-air, on-air and digital platforms.

·Collaborate with other business functions to create innovative and highly-integrated social programming, content or initiatives to further company-wide promotions at on and off-track events and deliver successful partnership experiences

·Manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and meet strong quality assurance expectations.

Knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of broadcast production, social media production, community management, and using social media platforms as tools to drive revenue and build brand
  • Possess a combination of creative and technical skills with hands on abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience in producing graphic content for various digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently to identify and complete work goals
  • Basic ability to edit social video is an asset but not a necessity
  • Knowledge of horse racing and wagering is a significant asset but not a necessity
Skills
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Good understanding and experience with software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator.
  • Skills in Cinema 4D or equivalent 3D applications is an asset but not a necessity
  • Excellent organizational skills necessary to manage varying demands and time constraints
  • Strong planning and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with on-site guests and online audiences
  • Must be able to work infast-paced production environment.
  • Must have strong abilities to multitask projects without close monitoring
  • Proven ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail,organization, work flow,troubleshooting and problem solving
Education and Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in broadcast graphic design or similar
  • A University degree or equivalent post-secondary education in Graphic Design or Media Arts.
  • Experience working on PC based systems +Basic understanding ofMicrosoftapplications. (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams)
