Director, project management for integrate systems implementation

As a Director of Project Management for Integrated Systems Implementation at Pomerleau Construction, you will lead our integrated management systems start-up teams across several major projects. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $ million to upwards of $1 billion – primarily in the design-build arena, you will have a deep understanding of the implementation, operation, and support of tailored project management systems.

What you will do
  1. Lead, guide, and mentor start-up teams dedicated to initiating major construction projects.
  2. Coordinate the schedules and quality of deliverables of several projects simultaneously, ensuring that each achieves its objectives.
  3. Provide guidance to other project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  4. Collaborate with IT and construction teams to customize and integrate systems according to project needs.
  5. Following implementation of the integrated management system, provide support if issues or problems arise.
  6. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and systems.
  7. Engage stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
  8. Promptly address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders.
  9. Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
  10. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring project success.
This role could be for you if you have
  1. An educational background in construction engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a focus on design-build projects.
  3. A proven experience in the implementation and operation of project management systems.
  4. Excellent communication skills in French and English.
  5. An ability to lead and influence teams on multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. A flexibility to be as mobile as required (project visits and project offices, mainly in the greater Montreal area).
Additional Asset Include:
  • A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from PMI.
