Position: Electro-Mechanical Assembler


Status: Permanent, Full Time – St-Laurent, Québec


Report to: Production Manager


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics and electromechanical assembly diagrams.
  • Crimp different types of wires and cables of various dimensions using different contacts, lugs and splices.
  • Install cables, wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies according to markers, cabling diagrams and cabinet drawings.
  • Perform the mechanical assembly of capacitors & reactors with the help of drawings, design etc.
  • Perform manual or mechanical braiding according to work order requirements.
  • Assemble, adjust and install parts or prefabricated elements (assemblies, wiring or mechanical systems) on capacitor banks.
  • Modify or adjust complex or small electromechanical parts.


Qualifications and Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Diploma in Electrical Assembly is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 months of relevant experience.
  • Proficient using wiring tools.
  • Proficient using various hand tools including drills and mechanical presses.
  • Ability to work well with fellow employees including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem solving.
  • Requires skilled, accurate, rapid, and coordinated manual skill. Work also requires a considerable variety of fairly steady, active physical exertion
  • Be familiar with precision standards.
  • Be familiar with occupational health and safety standards.

Responsabilités


  • Lire et interpréter des dessins, des schémas et des diagrammes d’assemblage électromécanique.
  • Sertir différents types de fils et de câbles de diverses dimensions à l’aide de différents contacts, cosses et épissures.
  • Installer des câbles, des harnais de câblage et des sous-ensembles selon les repères, les schémas de câblage et les dessins d’armoires.
  • Effectuer l’assemblage mécanique de condensateurs et de réacteurs à l’aide de plans, de conception, etc.
  • Effectuer le tressage manuel ou mécanique selon les exigences de l’ordre de travail.
  • Assembler, ajuster et installer des pièces ou des éléments préfabriqués (assemblages, câblages ou systèmes mécaniques) sur des batteries de condensateurs.
  • Modifier ou ajuster des pièces électromécaniques complexes ou de petite taille.


Vos atouts


  • Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent. Un diplôme en assemblage électrique est préférable.
  • Un minimum de 12 mois d’expérience pertinente.
  • Maîtrise de l’utilisation d’outils de câblage.
  • Capacité à utiliser divers outils manuels, y compris des perceuses et des presses mécaniques.
  • Capacité à bien travailler avec les autres employés, notamment en participant activement aux activités de participation des employés et à la résolution de problèmes.
  • Le travail exige une habileté manuelle qualifiée, précise, rapide et coordonnée. Le travail exige également une variété considérable d’efforts physiques actifs et assez constants.
  • Être familier avec les normes de précision.
  • Connaître les normes de santé et de sécurité au travail.
