Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join our Water Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to our core values and possess a genuine passion for learning and professional growth. The level of responsibility and expectations will be commensurate with the candidate's consulting grade.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate and support colleagues and team members on various projects.

Manage the technical delivery of projects, offering guidance and assistance to other teams and disciplines.

Ensure timely completion of tasks, draft reports, and project deliverables within specified deadlines and budget constraints.

Conduct Flood Risk Assessments, develop Drainage Strategies, and design sustainable drainage solutions.

Proactively manage client relationships, ensuring clarity regarding expectations, success criteria, and project outcomes.

Foster collaboration with other consulting disciplines, such as land quality, to deliver integrated solutions.Expectations: The ideal candidate will possess:

A minimum of four years of UK experience in a Flood Risk or Drainage role.

Basic technical skills acquired through a relevant scientific or engineering-based university degree, with a willingness to further develop expertise.

Adaptability to work in diverse environments with various stakeholders.

A flexible and dynamic approach to teamwork in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant technical software, with strong report writing skills.Desirable Capabilities: While not essential, candidates with the following capabilities will be :

Experience in drainage design.

Proficiency in GIS and CAD packages.

Familiarity with 1D and 2D flood modelling techniques.
