Our client is a supply chain solution provider and leader in North American logistics. They are now looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join the team. Position will be mainly responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, server and network systems, with exposure in various technical environments in their affiliates across North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, storage solutions, hardware, software and cloud platforms.
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Configure and maintain network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), ensuring network security and efficiency.
  • Administer and optimize both physical and virtualization environments using tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
  • Ensure infrastructure components adhere to security best practices and organizational security policies.
  • Identify areas for infrastructure optimization and propose solutions to improve efficiency and performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications are an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including network systems, servers, and storage.
  • Experience with server administration (Windows 2008-2022), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network equipment, including switches and firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, MikroTik). Extensive knowledge of IP, WAN, LAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Azure and MS 365 administration and deployment.
  • Experience with SAN, NAS, Azure storage and Veaam backup system.
