Old Toronto, Canada Amazon Full time

Amazon is all-in on games, and our mission is to be the most customer-obsessed company in the industry. At Amazon Games, we’re creating compelling games like New World, Blue Protocol, Lost Ark, as well as other unannounced projects.

Amazon Games is looking for a talented and driven Sr. Technical Producer to join the games publishing team. Are you passionate about advocating for the best customer experience through collaborative partnerships with various business teams? Do you thrive in a fast-moving culture where customer obsession and the ability to think on your feet are highly valued?

In this role, you will work on complex, multi-disciplinary technical game projects and collaborate with external development partners and internal production teams. You will oversee game technologies and tooling, middle-ware and services integrations, and bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. This includes building schedules, organizing releases, processing data, identifying risks and clearly communicating status to stakeholders. Your projects will often span multiple offices, time zones, and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration of technical components and alignment with overall project vision.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure their engineers and analysts have the tools they need to operate world-class games.
- Own and maintain schedules for multiple internal teams. Collaborate with the stakeholders to understand goals and timelines.
- Coordinate release schedules and plans, and coordinate with various teams to ensure there are no release blockers and agreed upon milestone dates are met.
- Track tasks through pipelines and keep the teams focused on delivery through changes and setbacks. Be ahead of risk - identify problems and drive solutions before they become problems.
- Maintain an overview of the state of the initiatives and create visibility on status and risk.
- Collaborate and proactively solve issues with team leads and cross-functional leads.
- Facilitate the operation of the live tests and live game, oversee the generation of release candidate builds, and manage the deployment of patches to a live game.
- Act as a live service owner, proactively driving issue prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, and root cause analysis.
- Plan and task infrastructure and feature improvements for cross functional teams and technical experts.
- Provide 24/7 operational support, participating in an on-call rotation alongside fellow producers.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Toronto, ON, CAN

Basic Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability in managing technical challenges in a live environment, including proficiency with game development tools, cloud services, server management, and online game architecture for multiplayer online games.
- Excellent technical communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to non-technical team members and stakeholders, facilitating cross departmental collaboration.
- 7+ years of experience shipping and supporting a live game or live service as a technical producer or technical program manager.
- Familiarity with best practices of publishing large scale PC and console titles.
- Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and be self-directed to meet deadlines in a quickly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with second party partners.
- Experience working with co-dev partners and vendors.
- Experience with data/analytics and using data to make decisions.
- Experience with moderation and commerce is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions by using data across a variety of signals to build convincing arguments that address the needs of stakeholders.
