Accounting Intern (May to October) / Stagiaire en comptabilité (mai à octobre)

Location - Montreal

This position is temporary, designed for current undergraduate students in a Bachelor's of Commerce program. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) from May to October, with the possibility of part-time work from September to October 2024.

GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. The company uses its own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions.

We are seeking an accounting intern to join our finance team. Reporting to the Controller, your mission will be to support our finance team with various projects.

Location: This hybrid role is based in Montreal, with 2 days per week spent in-office at our location near the McGill Metro station.

Compensation: This role pays between $22 to $24 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the accounting analyst in preparing the invoices for our customers
  • Assist the accounting analyst for monthly reconciliation of accounting accounts (like Prepaid)
  • Assist the accounts payable specialist in processing expense reports
  • Assist and participate in the implementation of a new ERP (Oracle Netsuite)
  • Assist the accounting team in the year-end audit
  • Assist the accounting team in other various tasks


Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal command of English or French. Bilingual candidates (French/English) will be prioritized
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within the team
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn

Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain Canadian government security clearance

Nous recherchons un stagiaire en comptabilité pour rejoindre notre équipe financière. Sous la responsabilité du contrôleur, votre mission consistera à soutenir notre équipe financière.

Lieu de travail : Ce poste hybride est basé à Montréal, avec 2 jours par semaine passés au bureau dans nos locaux près de la station de métro McGill.

Rémunération : Ce poste est rémunéré entre 22 et 24 dollars canadiens de l'heure.

Responsabilités :
  • Assister l'analyste comptable dans la préparation des factures pour nos clients.
  • Assister l'analyste comptable dans la réconciliation mensuelle des comptes comptables (comme Prepaid)
  • Assister le spécialiste des comptes fournisseurs dans le traitement des notes de frais
  • Assister et participer à l'implémentation d'un nouvel ERP (Oracle Netsuite)
  • Assister l'équipe comptable dans l'audit de fin d'année
  • Assister l'équipe comptable dans d'autres tâches diverses.


Compétences :
  • Excellente maîtrise écrite et orale de l'anglais ou du français. Les candidats bilingues (français/anglais) seront prioritaires.
  • Excellente maîtrise de Microsoft Excel
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en collaboration au sein de l'équipe
  • Souci du détail et volonté d'apprendre
