Woodview’s Halton Autism Services is currently seeking a qualified, skilled and experienced individual to deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based services both in-centre and community as part of our Halton Autism Services team.

Job Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
Instructor Therapists work one-to-one and in small groups with children and youth with autism. Service hours are generally Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm with the potential for evening sessions and Saturday sessions as required. Working as a part of a team, the Instructor Therapist is responsible for implementing programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist. The Instructor Therapist is responsible for keeping accurate data, graphing, and for preparing and creating materials for clients. The Instructor Therapist is also responsible for managing challenging behaviors following NVCI principals and support medically fragile learners.
The Instructor Therapist will provide quality and supportive programming, in addition to contributing to a positive and team-based working environment. The Instructor Therapist may also support Woodview Learning Centre as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis obtained by completion of the Autism and Behavioural Sciences certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months practical/applied experience in the field of ABA.
- Professional experience working with children with autism.
- Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) coursework and/or certification is an asset
- Capacity to navigate technology quickly and efficiently, including excel, google docs/sheets and various apps used for communication.
Additional Qualifications:
- Practical experience in collecting, graphing and analyzing data.
- Current certification in first aid, CPR, non-violent crisis prevention intervention (NVCI) would be an asset.
- Experience providing parent coaching; running groups and writing programs is an asset
- Previous Health & Safety experience an asset.
