Jardeg is hiring Millwright Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. maintenance team at the Kearl Site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers

Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
  2. Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
  3. Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
  4. Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
  5. Perform predictive and operational procedures
  6. Repair or replace defective parts
  7. Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  8. May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a journeyperson welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts

Previous Oil and Gas experience is an asset

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Journeyperson Ticket
  2. Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
  3. ESC Common Safety Orientation
  4. ESC Wood Buffalo/Wildlife Awareness
  5. ESC Confined Space & Monitor
  6. ESC Fall Protection
  7. Basic Rigging
  8. Valid Driver’s License
