Summit Truck Equipment is a fast growing company with lots of potential to advance within. We are committed to the care and pride in our staff, to build a strong, determined team in order to give the service our customers demand. We are currently looking for a Licensed 310T Mechanic that will be based out of our Alliston location to diagnose, maintain and repair Hydrovacs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Maintenance and repairs to Hydrovacs. May include: cooling systems, air systems, fuel and exhaust systems, brakes and tires, hydraulic and electrical systems and lubrication systems.
  2. Read manufacturer’s drawings and manuals.
  3. Use computer diagnostic equipment.
  4. Complete all necessary paperwork.
  5. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  6. All communication with customer.
  7. Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
  8. Installation of components.
  9. Test operation of completed unit.
  10. Install heavy components such as PTO’s and pumps.
  11. Install components in truck cabs and on truck bodies.
  12. Install and test hydraulic systems.
  13. Maintain safe and clean work environment.
  14. Comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  1. Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations.
  2. Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  3. Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80lbs.
  4. Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
  5. Normal range of hearing and vision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  1. Valid 310T License.
  2. Basic computer and internet literacy.
  3. Valid class 3 driver’s license – considered an asset.
  4. Must have a strong knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  5. Troubleshooting skills a must.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  8. Ability to perform heavy component installations.
  9. Have the ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced work environment.
  10. Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
  11. Ability to use various power and hand tools.
  12. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  13. Candidates must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
