The Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG), Canada’s leading, innovative and client-focused law firm, is seeking an:

Associate – Disputes (Environmental Law)

BLG’s National Environmental practice group is home to many of Canada’s most highly recognized environmental and regulatory lawyers. Housed within Canada’s largest law firm, this specialized Toronto group represents many of Ontario’s municipalities as well as significant public institutions and private corporations.

We are looking for

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 – 5 years experience practicing in Environmental law (though we encourage all interested Environmental lawyers to apply), be creative, have sound judgement, and experience:

  • Providing risk management strategies to public and private sector clients
  • Representing clients in complex environmental claims
  • Advising clients on environmental and product compliance
  • Defending against regulator prosecutions and orders
  • Advising on environmental due diligence
  • Appearing before all Ontario courts and tribunals, including the Ontario Land Tribunal on environmental matters.
