Pay Rate: $39.65

Job Responsibilities:

-Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete/Ontario Redimix fleet of heavy duty trucks
-Use of leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns, ordering required parts, removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components, as well as performing maintenance schedules.
-Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps and motors, and air brake systems are required.

Requirements:

-The ideal candidate will hold a 310T Mechanic License, or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice.
-Working on all systems of the ready mix truck, including engines, hydraulic pumps, motors and air brake systems, no two days will be the same.
-There will be some travel to other Dufferin Concrete plants so a valid driver’s license is required.
-Strong interpersonal skills and safety first approach will be a key to success in the role
