Client Profile

Our client, is currently looking for a Corporate Law Clerk. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.


- Mid sized full service law firm.

- Representing clients at all levels of Courts in Ontario, as well as various administrative tribunals, such as the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and Workplace Safety Insurance Board.

- Office located in Barrie.

Duties and Responsibilities:



- Complete various corporate forms and documentation;

- Manage annual minute book maintenance/filings and perform due diligence reviews on minute books;

- Prepare draft documentation including correspondence, agreements, resolutions and by laws

- Maintain and review lawyer’s calendar daily along with proactively scheduling and handling upcoming events;

- Assisting with corporate reorganizations, share and asset purchase transactions, including: preparing/maintaining closing checklists; reviewing/drafting closing documents including resolutions, officers’ certificates and other supporting documents; preparing closing books and drafting reporting letters.

- Maintain and input all file information into document management system and,

- Additional duties as assigned.





Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience as a Corporate Law Clerk;

- Successful completion of Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma program;

- Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams,);

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills;

- Demonstrative analytical skills, good judgment, and a and high attention to detail; and

- Ability to work well in a team as well as with minimum supervision when required.
