Here’s the job opportunity…RoleThe Corporate Tax Manager position is a great opportunity to be part of the team, providing support to tax accounting and compliance functions for corporate and segregated fund entities for ivari Canada. In this role you will:Coordinate, prepare and reconcile all corporate tax return filings for ivari and related affiliated corporationsPrepare tax provisioning including Return to Assessment to provision / accounting to facilitate financial reporting for these entities in accordance with IFRSReconcile the tax payable/receivable balances and the general ledgerManage the Internal Control for Financial Reporting (ICFR) process for corporate taxCoordinate the preparation of audit working papers with the respective tax authorities and liaise with auditors on queriesRespond to Audit queries and review with managementManage ivari’s policyholder CRA and RQ withholding tax (source deduction) business accountsSupport with compliance review for Policyholder Taxation processes and proceduresSupport the Senior Tax Manager with special projectsWhat We Are Looking ForUniversity degree in commerce, accounting, law, actuarial science or related subject or equivalent experience and education3+ years of experience in corporate tax in an insurance/financial services sectorCanadian and/or US Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)Completion of or working towards completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or Masters of Tax programAbility to diagnose and solve complex financial problemsAbility to prioritize, manage multiple tasksStrong analytical skills, and attention to detailWho You AreYou are a team player who not only understands our core values but lives them every day.
