As the Data Scientist, you will contribute to the improvement of Beauceron’s cybersecurity platform from their office in Fredericton, NB. This will involve analyzing external and internal data sets to drive business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be the go-to person for data analysis requests across the whole Beauceron pack. They will work especially closely with the Product, Development, and Infrastructure teams, and will report to the Product Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building data sets and preparing data for analysis.
  • Responsible for analyzing data sources to drive optimization and identify opportunities to improve the product.
  • Responsible for developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Responsible for communicating analysis results in written and oral format.
  • Responsible for reviewing literature and staying current with industry trends.
  • Contributes to Data Science team’s strategic planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in similar role or equivalent experiential learning.
  • Fluent in Python.
  • Experience with statistical modelling.
  • Strong testing and debugging skills.
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Git.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques an asset.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like ScikitLearn or PyTorch/TensorFlow an asset.
  • Experience with project planning tools like Jira or Azure Dev Ops an asset.
  • You believe in Beauceron’s mission statement and core values.
