Title: Mechanical Designer Engineer

Location: Lloydminster, Central Alberta

Salary: $110k-$138k (Based on Experience)

Summary: Our client is currently looking for a project manager/mechanical engineer who has experience in the building industry to come and join their growing team They are a well-established firm, involved in different industries in western Canada. This role has great growth potential, and will catapult your professional journey to a new level.

Responsibilities:

  1. Be involved with preliminary design and engineering duties
  2. Prepare detailed design calculations, layouts, and reports.
  3. Partner with other disciplines to come up with solutions to complex issues to meet clients' needs
  4. Mentor junior staff
  5. Take a lead within projects to ensure timelines
  6. Be involved in all aspects of projects - contractors, subcontractors, site visits, and client-facing responsibilities
  7. Have an excellent sense of urgency, able to meet tight deadlines, and problem solve unexpected challenges.
  8. Be involved with business development, and build client relationships

Requirements:

  1. Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA and APEGS.
  2. Self-motivated and organized with strong management skills
  3. Analytically inclined with a strong sense of problem-solving
  4. Familiar with industry standards and codes.
  5. Able to work independently and within a team environment
  6. Effective communication with a proficiency to convey ideas both written and verbal
