General Store Manager

The Store & Community Manager is responsible for creating aparamount customer experience and work environment while achieving businessdevelopment goals in line with the brand’s strategies and values. The StoreManager will also be accountable for achieving sales, community and operationalobjectives,

Our newstore opened in early January 2020 and is the Resort and Town General Storewith 6500 square feet of new retail space, including a Beer and Wine Store. Wenow are looking for a retail professional to join our store team and grow withus Live-in positions are available.

  • Representthe store in a positive light and exhibit excellent customer service skills
  • Workclosely with members of our Management team.
  • Manageall aspects of our day-to-day business, including our beer and wine store;deli; and general store
  • Employeescheduling and making changes to schedules
  • Openand close the store on predetermined days
  • Takeresponsibility for preparing the store for business and making sure all closingtasks are done before the end of the day
  • Maintainhigh standards for store appearance and retail displays
  • Researchnew products and purchase new inventory
  • Evaluatestore sales, prepare reports and suggest ways to increase sales and improvebusiness
  • Trainemployees in handling daily cash and filling out cash out reports
  • Receivingand inputting inventory
  • Responsiblefor purchasing inventory, including food, tobacco products and liquor orders
  • Developmentof new sales or recruiting programs
  • Holdemployees to high standards of conduct and be responsible for noticing andcorrecting any negative behavior. Carry out any disciplinary measures needed.
  • Managinginventory counts and working closely with our Finance team
  • Embodythe values of the company and put customers first
STORE Manager Job Requirements

The Grocery, Retail, Beer and Wine Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for creating a paramount customer experience and work environment while achieving business development goals in line with the brand’s strategies and values. The Store Manager will also be accountable for achieving sales, community and operational objectives.

Ourupcoming new store location opening in early January 2020 will be our keyresort market store with deli, food to go and 6500 square feet of new retailspace. We now are looking for like minded retail professional to join our storeteams and grow with us Live in positions are also available.

  • Maintain the highest degree of customer service and store standards every day.
  • Manage the development of store and brand clientele; follow-through with client needs, inquiries and sales opportunities etc.
  • Establish relationships within the community and building our local rewards program.
  • Administer our local social media resources as directed by corporate.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor.
  • Effective utilization of POS system and its inventory management functions.
  • Partner with logistics and product teams to ensure appropriate merchandise assortment and quantities.
  • Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports.
  • Present opportunities for strategic merchandising adjustments to enhance customer experience and sales.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 5 years of professional experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in retail stores.
  • Minimum of two years working in a leadership or supervisory role,
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and build a high performing team in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted, bend, twist, and kneeling

The Store Manager is accountable for the operational performance of the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize profits by controlling key variable costs of food, beverage, labour and other controllable expenses.
  • Manage daily inventory and orders for food, juice, and retail products to maximize sales, control discounting, and reduce spoilage.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop team members to ensure efficient operation and guest satisfaction. Prepare and conduct individual performance reviews.
  • Hands on food preparation and delivery of an exceptional guest experience.
  • Ensure store compliance with brand, product, customer service, food safety, cleanliness, occupational health and safety standards.
  • Execute promotions, store merchandising, corporate marketing initiatives, and local community engagement events.
  • Provide prompt, professional, and personal resolution to customer problems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to cash control policies and procedures
  • Complete administrative duties as required
  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing personal development including nutrition, product knowledge, sales, team leadership, and operations.
