Description and Requirements

Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider business group is seeking a Cluster Enablement Software Engineer to join our team in Morrisville, North Carolina. This is a hybrid position and will require onsite presence.

Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider (CSP) group is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that adapts to changing market demands to serve customer needs. We're the only company with true end-to-end capabilities for even the most unique solution. Our CSP solutions are designed, built, and deployed worldwide - all in-house.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions for GPU cluster architecture and performance validation.
  • Manage and maintain code bases, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient version control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on OS, network, and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, OS, network, and hardware issues.
  • Clearly document designs, processes, and protocols.
  • Present information to internal cross-functional teams and customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering fields.
  • Experience in software development, background in code base management and version control.
  • Familiarity with mainstream programming languages (e.g. Python, C++, CUDA, and/or Golang).
  • Familiarity with general Linux/Windows operations.
  • General understanding of computer system and components like CPU, GPU, NVMe, computer networking, and have more proficient understanding in at least one of the fields.
  • Proficient understanding of at least one of the following domains: Datacenter Software, Datacenter Networking, Embedded System and Hardware, Operating System, and/or Deep Learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Resourcefulness problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt them to daily operations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese.
