BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This position is for a Production Scheduler/Assistant for the Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, planning, and driving the production schedule to enable our division to meet the needs of our customers and sales team. The Scheduler/Assistant will also aid in payroll. ordering, data entry, supplier management and other tasks that the team needs. This must be done while fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation with the sales team and the production line .

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor-Vulcraft Canada; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

  • Strong Personal Skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to Taking Care of Our Customers
  • Knowledge of joist and/or deck fabrication is essential.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • SAP and Microsoft Office experience necessary

  • Health and Safety experience
  • Experience with DayForce an asset.

  • Excellent Attendance Record
  • Proven ability to work with well with other teammates in a positive manner
  • Capable of working in a proficient manner in a fast paced multitasking environment

Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
