Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as a Recreation Lead at Parkdale Place Housing Society located in Summerland, BC. As a Recreation Lead, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational activities for residents. Your role will involve creating engaging and inclusive programs, coordinating events and outings, and promoting social interaction and mental well-being among residents. You will also ensure the safety and comfort of participants during activities.QualificationsPrevious experience in recreation or a related fieldStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work well in a team and independentlyCreativity and innovative thinking in program developmentPatience, empathy, and a positive attitudeAbility to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of residentsKnowledge of local community resources and recreational opportunitiesValid driver's license and willingness to obtain a class 4 license.Please note that successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal record check.
