We are a small law firm offering services in the areas of Immigration, Refugee and Family Law. Currently, we are expanding, and I am looking to hire an articling student for the Summer 2024 Articling period. The student start date is Friday July 5, 2024. The ideal candidate shares an interest in practicing in the previously mentioned areas and possesses relevant knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate has a positive go-getter attitude and is able to multi-task.


The student will shadow me in various applications before the Refugee Protection Division, Refugee Appeal Division, Immigration Division, Canada Border Services Agency, and the Federal Court of Canada. They will work on various immigration appeals, applications for humanitarian and compassionate grounds, pre-removal risk assessments, study permits, and sponsorship applications. The student will help draft separation agreements and assist

clients in divorce, custody, and support battles. The student will have carriage over their

files and participate in the day-to-day challenges facing each client.


*There is a hire-back option for a committed candidate at the end of the articling period.

Education: Juris Doctor (JD). Please only apply if you're in Canada and have a law degree.


Location: Toronto/North York - Private student office with a superb view. Student will have

their own receptionist, phoneline and mailbox. The student will work with a firm law clerk and be directly supervised by me. The ideal candidate is an Ontario resident living in the Greater Toronto Area.


Compensation: TBD


Duration & Schedule: Full-time 11 Months, Monday to Friday starting July 5, 2024 (asap) and ending in May 2025. There is twenty-five days of paid probation to gauge whether the candidate is a right fit.
