We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients and who thrive in an environment where strengths and ambitions are embraced and where you are empowered to make a meaningful impact.What You’ll Be DoingAs a member of CIBC’s Security Operations Center (SOC) team, you will monitor, investigate, and respond to security events to protect the organization’s digital assets. The role requires an action‑oriented, collaborative, and innovative individual responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving security incidents, conducting proof‑of‑concept exercises on new monitoring and detection capabilities, and supporting the deployment of effective operational solutions.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze security alerts from various platforms to identify potential threats and evaluate the organization’s security posture.Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents, serve as a subject‑matter expert for complex events, and recommend containment and remediation actions.Evaluate, select, and implement new SOC technologies and platforms to keep the SOC current with industry best practices.Support fine‑tuning of detection logic based on threat intelligence and incident learnings to ensure high‑fidelity alerts and minimize false positives.Define, track, and report on critical SOC performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.Collaborate with senior leaders and technical teams across the company to improve incident response processes and communicate risk‑based findings.Who You AreAt least 5 years of experience in a SOC Analyst, Incident Response, or similar role.Hands‑on experience with Microsoft and Palo Alto products and a strong understanding of network protocols.Proficiency in analyzing security logs, and working knowledge of firewall, routing, and cloud monitoring technologies.Experience in heavily regulated environments, including compliance frameworks and integration of operational controls.You are familiar with processes, tools (SIEM, SOAR, AV/EDR, WAF, OSINT), techniques, and practices for maintaining the integrity and security of organizational data.Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Ownership mentality: you thrive when empowered to take initiative and deliver results.Certified professional with current accreditation in CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or SC‑200.Alignment with CIBC values – trust, teamwork, and accountability.What You Need To KnowCIBC is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.All roles posted are opportunities we’re actively recruiting for, unless stated otherwise.You must be legally eligible to work in the specified location(s) and, where applicable, have a valid work or study permit.Assessment tools may be used during the recruitment process.Artificial intelligence tools are used in the recruitment process to better understand candidates.Job LocationToronto – CC East, 12th FloorEmployment TypeRegular – Full‑timeWeekly Hours37.5 hoursPrimary RecruiterSakshi BhardwajSkillsAnalytical Thinking, Decision Making, Information Security, IT Governance, Mentorship, Risk Assessments, Security Technologies, Security Testing, System Security, Troubleshooting #J-18808-Ljbffr
