OCT holder Senior English teacher for in-person teaching. Must be able to teach ENG4U, ENG3U and OLC4O. Candidates with the ability to teach Gr.12 social science courses such as CGW4U, HAF4U, English Gr 9 to 12 (ENG1D, ENG2D, ENG3U, ENG4U), and ESL is a plus. Experience with online teaching is preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of Ministry Curriculum Guidelines
  • Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum, Assign, and correct homework.
  • Skills of motivating quality learning and resources in a current rapidly changing learning environment
  • Must possess great communication and thinking skills.
  • Evaluate student assignments, projects, tests, and other forms of evaluation, and discuss results with students
  • Assess student progress on a regular basis and Provide motivating comments and constructive feedback to students on all work that is submitted
  • Maintain records of student evaluations and assessment
  • Ability to meet a tight deadline for marking & mark submission with a high level of accuracy.
  • Work well under pressure and in a fast, busy office setting.
  • Must have Ontario College of Teacher license

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
