Position: Procurement Analyst
Various FIFO Sites: (Christina Lake, Foster Creek, and Sunrise)
Contract term: June 2024 - End of December 2025.
Start date: ASAP
Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and skilled SCM Upstream Analyst to join our oil and gas client’s team as a Procurement Analyst. This contractor opportunity involves providing critical procurement support during planned turnarounds at our oil sands assets. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient and timely procurement processes to support inventory, maintenance, and operations activities.
Responsibilities
Responsible to complete the daily inventory run to purchase requisitions for re-stock and work order requirements.
Responsible to source materials for inventory, maintenance and operations utilizing the RFQ process in SAP.
Review and process quotes received from suppliers, including price, delivery, Inco terms, material verification.
Support the “hot seat” procurement though co-management of a shared procurement email inbox.
Work with planners and other site personnel to gather additional information about requests, as required.
Expedite orders needed in a timelier fashion or that are past due.
Accountable to company visions, values, and business strategies
Accountable for adherence to the SCM policies
SAP experience is desired, and preferred.
Requirements
Prior experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the oilsands or a similar industry.
Experience with SAP is highly desired and preferred.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier quotes.
Excellent communication skills for effective internal and external collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive problem-solving approach.
Willingness to work on a rotational basis across Christina Lake, Foster Creek, and Sunrise sites.
