Metergy/ Triacta Power Solutions is an innovative leader in the Electrical Submetering industry, specializing in revenue-grade electrical submeters to tenant billing and energy management applications. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipper and Receiver.
Job Summary:
The Shipper and Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes receiving, inspecting, and documenting shipments, as well as preparing and shipping orders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and grow within the company by engaging in final quality control, assembly, or other areas as needed.
Job Location: Carleton Place, Ontario
Shift: Day time
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Record and update inventory in the system.
- Contact supplier if discrepancies arise with shipments (missing/wrong parts etc).
- Shipping:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards.
- Load outgoing shipments
- Generate shipping labels and ensure accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Maintain shipping records and update the system accordingly.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
- Organize and store inventory in the designated areas.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and alerting supervisors of low stock items.
- Quality Control:
- Participate in final quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Report any quality issues to supervisors or management.
- Assist in the assembly and final assembly of products as needed.
- Follow assembly instructions and maintain a high level of precision.
- General:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Support other departments and perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
- Highly organized with a strong ability to multitask, dealing with multiple and changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities in quality control, assembly, or other areas.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365; training will be provided.
- Forklift license is an asset; training will be provided if necessary.
