Agile Underwriting Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter in a hybrid position. The role can be based in Surrey BC or Calgary AB office.

As a Senior Underwriter, you take pride in facilitating the insurance process. You’re not an algorithm evaluating an offer, you’re the one offering tailored insurance solutions and making a tangible impact on our business.

Why we’ll love You:
  • Use an analytical, driven, and pragmatic approach to underwriting a wide variety of risk types
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding other underwriters through their own decision making
  • Independent and self-motivated, you have a broad understanding of underwriting and pricing discipline
  • You have a minimum 5 years’ experience in underwriting

  • Assess applicants from internal brokers and set appropriate underwriting terms
  • Master file audits and ensure a profitable book of business
  • Orchestrate multiple tasks, participating in the process of designing new guidelines and policies
  • Support, guide and mentor junior team members
