Job Summary

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our journey as we build and maintain multiple products. This is a unique chance to have a big impact on our product, architecture, coding standards, efficiency, and reliability. Our Compass Digital Core Product Engineering team builds food ordering apps, operator management and kitchen display systems, empowering hospitality guests, front and back of house operations. Our back-end services are shared along the guest’s hospitality journey. Join - Verify - Search - Order - Pay - Pick-up/Delivery - Enjoy.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Full Stack Engineer, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  1. Develop using Python/Django (backend), React, TypeScript, React Native or Ionic (front-end), PostgreSQL, and AWS.
  2. Build both consumer experiences and the internal tools powering our logistics pipeline.
  3. Work closely with product, engineering, and logistics teams across the company.
  4. Contribute to the creation and refinement of our technology architecture and development processes to best support our current needs and enable our exciting growth plans.
  5. Help identify, plan, and execute on opportunities for the engineering team’s growth and improvement.

Think you have what it takes to be our Full Stack Engineer? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role:

  1. B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, with a foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  2. Proficiency in Python/Django.
  3. Experience in React, Typescript, and SQL.
  4. 3+ years of experience in Full Stack software engineering.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Self-awareness, a positive attitude, and empathy.
  7. Experience in giving and receiving code review feedback.
  8. Passionate about building great products, innovation, and solving complex problems.
