  • Responsible for application analysis, design and development across multiple client server or web-based platforms
  • Work closely with business units to review business requirements and feasibility from the technical perspective and to finalize requirement.
  • Develop and maintain database scripts.
  • Develop applications in Scala (mostly Spark Applications), Java, Angular and Cassandra.
  • Work on moving existing Analytics platform (on-premises infrastructure) to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Perform code review written by junior/intermediate developers.
  • Perform unit testing.
  • Comply with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Take part in construction of the requirements, design, testing and deployment documents.
  • Ensure consistency in coding standards.
  • Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.

MUST HAVE:
  • Degree/Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Years of experience: 10 + years
  • Databricks experience (Databricks Lakehouse platform is a plus) – especially running Spark
  • Experience with the following tools: Java, Spark, Scala, Spring, SQL Server, Git, React
  • Experience with Cloud computing (one of: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) applications (batch processing) using Scala or Java
  • Experience with Big Data technologies (HDFS, Spark, Casandra)
NICE TO HAVE:
  • Cloud migration experience
  • Angular
  • Spring Boot
Language skills:
  • English:Proficient
