We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java and Spring Framework, with a proven track record of working on large-scale enterprise applications, preferably in the insurance sector. The role involves both hands-on development and providing guidance to our offshore development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions using Core Java and Spring Framework.
  • Design and implement Spring Batch jobs and manage AWS services deployment.
  • Drive the migration of monolithic applications to a Microservices architecture.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and Microservices.
  • Collaborate effectively with offshore and onshore teams, providing support and guidance.
  • Adhere to Agile methodologies in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure code quality by conducting thorough reviews and utilizing tools like GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Work with legacy Spring framework versions using XML configurations.
  • Handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment and contribute positively to the team dynamics.
  • Provide insights and expertise in logging frameworks, particularly Elastic Search.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Sciences (preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Core Java and Spring Framework.
  • Proficiency in Spring Batch, AWS services, and Microservices architecture.
  • Solid experience in Agile methodology, GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Strong skills in REST API development and large enterprise application development.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading or supporting offshore development teams.
  • Familiarity with the insurance business (preferred).
  • Ability to work with older versions of Spring framework.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Leadership skills are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Urdu / Punjabi preferred
