I'm looking for a senior accountant for my client in the east end of Montreal. This is a permanent position.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the branch general ledger.
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the branch.
  3. Perform bank statement reconciliations.
  4. Assist in the preparation of branch budgets and forecasts.
  5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  6. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  7. Oversee and process branch payroll.
  8. Manage payroll requests and resolve discrepancies.
  9. Perform regular inventory reconciliations and adjustments.
  10. Manage the requisition purchase order process.
  11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  12. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain favorable agreements.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 to 7 years experience in accounting or finance.
  3. Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulations.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (Acumatica an asset) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Bilingualism (English and French).
