Construction cost and claims consultancy

Our client, a leading construction cost and claims firm has the following immediate openings in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver:

Ideal candidates will have experience in the assessment, quantification and compilation of Claims relating to:

  • Construction Delay, Disruption, Acceleration & Termination Claims
  • Productivity Claims & Manpower and Resource assessments
  • Differing Conditions, Change Order and Alternative Design Claims
  • Course of Construction Claims

Key Responsibilities:

  • The applicant should ideally possess 4-7 years of claims evaluation experience, coupled with foundational field experience in project management, construction estimating and schedule management extending to commercial, industrial, infrastructure, institutional and ideally, oil and gas projects.
  • The candidate should possess knowledge in CPM, EVM, construction contracts and their interpretation, be versed in standard MS software as well as Microsoft Project and in addition, Primavera P6/P3.
  • The applicant should be able to communicate through astute report writing and Graphical Presentations and Demonstrative Models.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AACE Recommended Practices is required.
  • Expert witness experience, and relevant professional society membership is preferable.
  • The applicant must be resident in Canada, and should have completion of University (Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or related field).
  • English speaking and articulate writing is critical to the position.
