We are seeking a Network Engineer or Network Specialist with extensive field experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining access control equipment, surveillance systems, intercoms, and general camera systems. This role requires strong expertise in networking and security, coupled with a passion for delivering reliable, high-performance solutions in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Configuration:

  • Manage and conduct on-site installations of access control systems, surveillance cameras, intercoms, and other security equipment 🎥.
  • Configure hardware and software systems to integrate with Grata’s smart living platform.
  • Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.

Network Design & Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions to support IoT devices and security systems.
  • Ensure network configurations meet security standards and perform optimally under varied conditions.

Field Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, addressing and resolving system issues efficiently.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, firmware updates, and system diagnostics to ensure long-term performance.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, property owners, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure seamless system integration 🤝.
  • Partner with Grata’s engineering and technical teams to refine processes and address client-specific needs.

Documentation & Training:

  • Prepare detailed documentation for system configurations, installations, and troubleshooting procedures 🗂️.
  • Train clients and on-site teams on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.

Security & Compliance:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends in network and system security to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement best practices to safeguard data and system integrity 🔐.

Requirements:

Field Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and configuring access control systems, surveillance cameras, intercoms, and related security equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage installations in diverse environments, including multifamily housing and commercial buildings.

Networking Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Familiarity with IoT systems and cloud-based platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance 🛠️.
  • Experience with security standards, encryption methods, and compliance protocols.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 🎤.
  • Proven success in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent networking certifications.
  • Certifications in security and access systems (e.G., Salto, ICT, Genetec, Hikvision, or Axis) are a plus.
