Type of position

ADW is seeking a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Automation Technologist for a Full-time Hybrid role in Aurora, ON.

Responsibilities

  • Using existing design automation tools to generate 3D models and blueprints
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting existing design automation tools
  • Updating existing design automation tools, as necessary
  • Participating in system development discussions to help direct User Interface and Functionality Requirements
  • Collaborating with CAD Automation Engineers and Programmers to develop new design automation tools to solve unique challenges

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, Solidworks experience preferred
  • Experience in creating fabrication and construction/ installation drawings
  • Knowledge of design engineering principles
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
  • Previous work experience in architectural, industrial steel, mechanical design, or energy sector projects is a plus
  • Technician/ Technologist Diploma in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
