Progesys is a company recognized for its expertise in managing industrial projects and their optimal transition from construction to operation. The company is based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia and Brazil.
Progesys is looking for a Senior Project Planner to work in a mining project in Newfoundland. The Project Planner plays a strategic role within the team, gathering relevant information to make informed decisions and supporting the project team to achieve the objectives within the prescribed timeframe. We are looking for someone who is open-minded, hands-on, curious and enjoys a challenge.
Responsibilities:
Perform planning and prepare schedules for project execution
Establish monitoring plan schedules and project progress from beginning to start-up
Integrate on an ongoing basis all information required for planning, scheduling work packages and monitor the execution of the work
Generate progress and production performance indicators reports
Ensuring the implementation phase of budget systems and cost structure
Monitoring costs, budgets, and billing
Identify and propose solutions to address identified gaps in cost and schedule
Participate in the risk management plan
Monitor the cost estimates of the work from changes motives in conformity with standards and procedures of the company to allow effective project management
Perform other related duties that may help the project.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant education.
Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial project planning, particularly on construction sites.
Mastery of Primavera software.
High degree of autonomy, strong sense of responsibility and good synthesis skills.
Leadership, strategic skills, business sense, professionalism and perseverance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, management, contractors, suppliers and the client.
