NOTE: This position is currently listed as "Onsite"; however, the Assignment under this request will provisionally be "Hybrid", working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive for three (3) days onsite and two (2) days remote (offsite), unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment, you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager's requirements for the assigned Project.
Must haves:
- You have at least 8 years of experience in QA Testing Methodology (testing tools, processes and standards, types of testing: Functional, Integration, System, Regression, User Acceptance, Migration/Conversion)
Nice to have:
- Demonstrated experience testing and implementing web and portal based applications systems in Azure Cloud (including COTS & SaaS)
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics
- Demonstrated written skills to document Testing artifacts (Test Cases, Scenarios, etc)
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, .NET Web, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript and related scripting technologies for automation
Description
SCOPE:
- Assist in the development of a test strategy, preparation of test cases / scenarios, test scripts, test data, regression test cases/scenarios required to verify system. Project is migration from On Premise to Cloud ensuring that functionality available in the source application is accurately replicated in the target application in the cloud for five Microsoft Dynamics applications
- Execution of test scripts to verify solution
- Recording and tracking of system or functional defects, break/fixes identified during unit and user acceptance testing
- Communication with project team to ensure application quality and alignment with project timelines
DELIVERABLES:
- The resource is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan and test cases according to JTS testing standards which will be provided; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected.
- The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other existing systems.
- Tasks and deliverables include:
- Developing test scripts and test data
- Executing test scripts and record software defects
- Documenting software defects and track resolution
- Development of test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality of various modules.
- Provide, plan and support User Acceptance Testing and lead initial UAT sessions.
- Review user documentation and provide feedback to improve application alignment and clarity of the information.
- Management and maintenance of defect log and communication of defect related issues to PM
- Working closely with developers holding triage sessions and ensuring appropriate prioritization of defects
- Working closely with the client lead, prioritize, schedule and remediate defects
Additional Responsibilities:
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
- The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5, 2025, leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 2025-26. If the current statement of work expires on March 31, 2025, the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW beyond March 31, 2025, based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable, only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2025, and be upon the same terms, conditions, and covenants contained in the SOW.
- The start date is subject to change based on security clearances and contract signing timelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience in quality assurance at the specified experience level

CRITERIA:
Criteria 1 - QA Testing Skills/ Experience (35 points)
- Demonstrated experience testing and implementing web and portal based applications systems in Azure Cloud (including COTS & SaaS)
- Hands on experience in developing and executing test scripts, test data, record software defects, documenting software defects, track resolution and test execution reporting.
- Extensive knowledge in developing test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality of various modules and changes made to the modules.
Criteria 2 - Technical Skills ( 30 points)
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Azure Cloud
- Experience in data migration related to technology upgrade
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms including DevOPS as well as experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
Criteria 3 - Business and Interpersonal Skills (30 points)
- You have demonstrated written skills to document Testing artifacts (Test Cases, Scenarios, etc)
- Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests are complete with excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; strong verbal and written communication skills
Criteria 4 - Public Sector Experience (5 points)
- Experience on testing enterprise level systems and exposure to OPS/ministry QA processes and standards- minimum of 8 years
