Responsibilities:

Project phase (2024-2028)

  1. Design, set up, and develop automation systems to support project progress.
  2. Fully involved in Qingdao site automation systems design, construction, qualification to deliver PMDI site as an autonomous and smart factory.
  3. Develop automation systems standard and process to meet startup and BAU requirements.
  4. Ensure SHE, GMP, and regulatory compliance in automation areas.
  5. Review and approve requirements, specifications, drawings, coding procedures, and guidelines.
  6. Work with the project team and other engineers to ensure system design meeting URS and BAU requirements.
  7. PPS and CI practices to ensure C&Q, PQ/PV successfully.

BAU phase (2028 onwards)

  1. Be responsible for site-wide process automation, supervisory control, and data acquisition solutions including programming and implementing new PLC/HMI code, changing existing PLC/HMI code, and monitoring backups for data integrity and compliance, etc.
  2. Ensure BMS/EMS running smoothly and continuously improve systems to meet GMP and regulation requirements.
  3. Review and approve requirements, specifications, drawings, coding procedures, guidelines, and qualification of equipment and processes.
  4. Conduct troubleshooting activities and PPS, deviation investigation and CAPA to be implemented.
  5. Train others on systems, software, equipment, machines, procedures, and processes. Instruct and train SME backup of automation systems and assist HVAC, water system engineers to optimize system operation mode.
  6. Analyze trends in data to provide accurate descriptions, identify root causes, solutions, or improvements.
  7. Write, review, and revise SOP/WI/Form for maintenance and operations of equipment, systems, and facilities.
  8. Update the automation system-related drawings, technical data, and manuals.
  9. Author, review, and approve change controls and document revisions.
  10. Comply with GMP and SOP, SHE requirement and ISIT/OT policies.
  11. Project implementation to improve KPI in SQSCP such as energy-saving, cost reduction, etc.
  12. Support to plan and implement annual budget and cost control in line with company goals.
  13. Apply lean/digital/automation solutions to contribute to autonomous site strategy.
