Crop 360, a division of JGL, is a proud locally owned and operated independent agriculture retailer, based in seven locations throughout South Western Saskatchewan (Central Butte, Rouleau, Swift Current, Neville, Gravelbourg, Strongfield and Moose Jaw). We are currently looking for a Precision Agronomy Lead to join our team. This position can be based out of any one of our locations with the option to work remotely. This position focuses on leading the Crop360 VR program. In this role you will be responsible for implementing and promoting Crop360 VR in the trade area. The ideal candidate has a passion for precision agronomy and an interest in product promotion.

Crop 360 is our full service agronomy, product trialing and soil sampling service working with growers across Hawk’s Agro’s trade area. As a Precision Agronomy Lead at Crop 360 you will work directly with farm customers to create customized variable rate application recommendations to address issues and increase profitability on the farm.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Crop360 VR Program
    • Serve as a leader in promotion of Crop360 VR
    • Prospect new Crop360 VR customers
    • Write prescriptions for Crop360 VR customers
  • Precision Agronomy Leader
    • Lead implementation of Crop360 VR program
    • Work the BDM to develop Crop360 VR strategies
    • Manage mapping, sampling and prescription writing
    • Work with Crop360 agronomists on Crop360 VR strategies

Requirements for this position:

  • Understanding of soil based zone mapping process
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of field and industry experience
  • Ability to interpret soil, tissue and seed tests
  • Able to make zone based fertility recommendations
  • Strong background in soil fertility
  • Knowledge of local weed species, and familiarity with the biology and control of local pests
  • Eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists
  • CCA accreditation or willingness to challenge exams and obtain accreditation when eligible
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Technically sound agronomy knowledge
  • Possess a valid drivers license
