Leading Consultancy focused on civil engineering, surveying, and project management services in infrastructure across Western Canada
Our Client, a leading civil design consultancy is seeking Design Engineers to join their growing Squamish Development Division and Vancouver Infrastructure Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities and private developers alike.
Design Engineer will join the Development & Infrastructure Squamish Division, which provides professional services for municipal infrastructure programs, large multi-family housing projects, recreational facilities, and major commercial and industrial developments.
Design Engineer to join the growing Vancouver Infrastructure Division, which delivers infrastructure planning, design and construction services for linear infrastructure (water, storm, sanitary), streets and transportation, and water resources assignments.
You will be working with friendly and supportive team of experienced Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers on a wide range of capital municipal projects.
The Client has been recognized for notable projects including the role of Owner’s Engineer and detailed design on large projects across Canada
The Role:
- Preparing civil engineering design work, from the conceptual level through to detailed construction drawings
- Preparing and reviewing design calculations in accordance with current standards
- Maintaining design files with necessary calculations and documentation
- Preparing design reports, letters and technical memorandums
- Providing input to Project Managers in the preparation of fee proposals
- Undertaking quality control procedures and monitoring design standards on completed work
- Directing staff involved with the design process
What you bring:
- A minimum of 7 years of related experience in municipal engineering design
- Completed Degree in Civil Engineering
- Registration as a P.Eng with EGBC
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle
- Strong design, communication and time management skills and ability to work concurrently on several different projects
- Excellent attention to detail to consistently produce accurate, high quality work
