Your Role within PIB

Details/Responsibilities

As a Group Benefits Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of our business. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading by example, living our values, and driving business relationships for the company by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Supporting our advisors in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients for all benefits-related inquiries and needs.
  • Collaborating with insurance companies to ensure the seamless operation of benefits plans and addressing any issues or inefficiencies.
  • Conducting thorough market studies to evaluate the competitive landscape and provide strategic insights for both prospective and existing clients.
  • Analyzing proposals from carriers with a keen eye for detail, assessing their suitability to ensure they align with client objectives.
  • Guiding clients through the implementation of new benefits plans, as well as any necessary plan amendments or carrier transitions.
  • Facilitating member education sessions alongside advisors.
  • Upholding our commitment to delivering superior service by resolving client issues promptly and effectively.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the group benefits landscape and identify new business opportunities.
  • Developing educational materials, presentations, and resources to support business development initiatives and enhance the client experience.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the group insurance industry, with a focus on employee benefits.
  • Strong time-management, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on client relations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with client management systems.
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, and bilingualism is considered an asset.
