What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
- Process settlement activity for Money Market, Interest Trade, Credit Trading Activity, including reconciliation and break clearance.
- Ensure timely affirmation of OTC Derivative trade settlements and manage unmatched deals.
- Authorize and release payment messages before currency cut-off time.
- Ensure successful generation of payment messages.
- Maintain and exchange static data and settlement instructions for counterparts and clients.
- Identify, track, and settle all payments promptly.
- Perform fail management and resolve breaks related to OTC Derivative cash settlements.
- Provide excellent customer service and address client queries efficiently.
- Investigate queries across product groups by extracting data and liaising with Middle Office.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, best practices, and management objectives.
- Identify root causes for discrepancies and suggest permanent fixes.
- Work hours based on the US calendar.
- You should be ok to work between the hours of 9:00am-7:00pm, working hours will be on a rotational basis.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
- 3+ years of experience in settlement functions for OTC Derivatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of operational risk principles and procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to draw sound business conclusions and recommendations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and present results to both expert and non-expert audiences.
- Builds productive relationships with internal and external parties.
Languages: French and English
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
Due to US Federal Securities law applying to this position, candidates who will apply for this position will be required to submit to an enhanced background screening, including the collection of their fingerprints by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”).
