Drive customer initiatives, across North America, leveraging data and analytics services to solve their biggest and most complex challenges.
Global data is expected to grow 10x by 2025. In an era of Big Data your role as a Senior Data Architect is more important than ever. Many organizations do not know how to access, organize, and use their data effectively. Your role will be to help organizations make sense of their growing data, creating insights that allow them to grow their business and compete in a disruptive world.
What you'll do:
- Develop end to end design of analytics solutions by translating client business requirements into technical specifications, specifically focusing on Microsoft Fabric.
- Defining the analytics architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, and security for client projects ranging from Proof-of-Concept (POC), Minimum Viable Product (MVP), or dev/test/production environments.
- Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business driven solutions adhering to the client’s architecture and data governance standards.
- Work with Project Managers, client stakeholders, Solution and Journey Architects to drive projects to completion.
- Be an advocate of data security principles and ensure appropriate security practices are embedded in any data/analytics strategy in any client project.
- Delivering value by solving customer’s complex data or analytics problems.
- Building Softchoice internal capabilities and best practices around data to continue to build our multi-cloud business.
- Stay up to date on current data and analytics trends within the market and be involved in practice development.
What you'll bring to the table:
- At least 15 years of extensive architecture and design experience with secure, complex applications across various data sources and multi-cloud platforms.
- Experience architecting analytics platforms with Databricks and/or Fabric preferred.
- Highly proficient in distributed computing and data principles and familiar with key architectural frameworks such as, but not limited to, TOGAF, DMBok.
- Has at least 10 years of experience designing solutions leveraging a diverse assortment of data sources, formats, and architectural patterns including batch, streaming, and transactional.
- Solid knowledge of common database technologies; structured, unstructured and OSS.
- Understanding of data governance, data dictionaries, data security, and Master Data Management.
- Deep understanding of when to use complex data and analytics services to solve enterprise data challenges.
- At least 10 years’ experience to accelerate a customer’s digital transformation which can incorporate any of the following: advanced analytics, BI tools, artificial intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Big Data.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of scripting languages and automation.
- Excellent presentation and verbal skills and comfortable in front of a white board driving architectural and decision-making sessions.
- Problem-solving and consultative mindset.
- Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts & ensuring follow through.
- Comfortable dealing with the unknown and able to work with clients to define business outcomes.
