OPPORTUNITY - Chief Executive Officer (Retail Investment Brokerage, Multinational Brand, Toronto)

About the Company:

Salient is supporting a financial services brand with presence worldwide.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Canada. The CEO will be responsible for spearheading the expansion of the established Canadian business. This involves:

  • Strategic Leadership: Overseeing the growth, strategic initiatives, go-to-market & operations matters of the business.
  • Business Outcomes: Meeting (and exceeding) the business objectives set for the Canada office.
  • Team Leadership: Providing leadership, mentorship & a clear pathway for continued success in a competitive space.
  • Establish a strong connection with the financial ecosystem: regulators, peers, competitors, and the wider financial services/technology market.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years' experience in a retail brokerage environment - open to different asset classes (fixed income, investments, equities, foreign exchange, options, CFDs, crypto).
  • Ability to communicate with international stakeholders (English is a must, other languages like Chinese a big plus).
  • Strong familiarity with branding, go-to-market, and operations outcomes in a start up/scale up environment.
