What you'll do:

  1. UI Development & Design: Collaborate with the development team to design and implement simple, visually appealing, and highly intuitive user interfaces for internally developed API tools and software applications.
  2. WPF Expertise: Utilize your expertise in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to create rich, responsive UIs that deliver an excellent user experience.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and end-users, to understand requirements and iterate on designs that keep projects moving efficiently.
  4. UI Enhancements: Review and enhance the UI of existing tools and applications, ensuring they align with modern design principles, are easy to use, and meet business needs.
  5. Usability & User Experience: Focus on creating user interfaces that improve usability, efficiency, and overall user experience, with attention to detail in layout, design consistency, and performance.
  6. Multiple Projects & Priorities: Effectively juggle multiple projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards in design and functionality.
  7. Organization & Detail-Oriented: Stay organized and detail-oriented, adhering to company branding guidelines in all UI designs.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on the latest UI/UX trends and best practices, ensuring the company’s applications and tools offer a cutting-edge experience.
  9. Prototyping & Mock-ups: Develop prototypes, mock-ups, and wireframes to communicate design ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders.

Must Haves:

  • Proven experience as a UI Developer, with a focus on WPF for designing and implementing user interfaces in desktop applications.
  • Strong experience in C#, with the ability to build and integrate UIs with backend API tools and software developed in C#.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating simple, intuitive, and visually appealing UI designs, with an emphasis on usability.
  • Experience working with development teams to translate requirements into functional user interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices, with an ability to create designs that improve user efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with API tools and software application development workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to adhere to company branding guidelines in all design work.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with other UI frameworks or tools (such as XAML) is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of modern design tools and techniques for prototyping and wireframing.
  • Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada.
