What to Expect:

The candidate will strongly support the Maintenance and Reliability Improvements and Industrial Services (Utilities) operations in Sterling Road and London Factories.


He/she will closely work and will provide expertise, reintroduce discipline and new ways of working, principles of Kaizen/TPM, Compliance to local and Nestle internal requirements and Standards, including introduction of new technologies to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.

A day in the life:

  • Support knowledge development, information sharing and technical development within Nestlé Canada factories.
  • Lead in technology, performance, and compliance, and achieving these through effective collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Drive excellence in compliance in all Utilities and Industrial areas with special focus on Boiler House Safety, Combustion Systems, and ensure Hygienic Engineering practices and standards.
  • Support the Factories' Engineering Teams in the evaluation, improvement and continuous development in Industrial Services, Maintenance, Projects, Hygienic Engineering, and Industrial Safety.
  • Maintain collaboration with Knowledge Partners and key suppliers to support competence development, safe and efficient operations, and operational improvements.

Role Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in food processing plants and technologies (Process, Maintenance, Utilities), food safety, hygienic engineering, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge in Kaizen/ TPM methodologies, Assets and Maintenance Planning and Management, Project Engineering and Management, CAPEX cycle, Plant Design and Construction.

Preferred Skills:

  • 2-3 years as Head of Factory Utilities Operations & Maintenance and another 2-3 years in a Corp. Engineering role.
  • Experience in Project Management (either in Utilities, process and/or new factory).
  • Experience in commissioning and start-up of new installations and/or factories.
  • Experience in engineering management (maintenance, utilities, E&A), preferably in FMCG related manufacturing environment (min 3 years).
  • Track record of successful innovations and initiatives.
