Data Theorem is an exciting company focused on creating a more secure world for data.

Rooted in a strong engineer first culture, every employee has an impact on product and direction. We are searching for exceptional talent pursuing an opportunity to grow and take ownership of the projects that resonate most with them.

As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading and shaping Data Theorem’s engineering team, while ensuring timely delivery of new features. 2. Lead and mentor a team of engineers, helping to develop their careers with the right projects and feedback, and removing any roadblocks that get in their way.
  3. Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity and quality by developing norms, tools, and processes, and ensuring they are followed within the team.
  4. Recruit a diverse team of engineers that are among the best in the industry, from outreach through close.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
  6. Guide the development process and ensure best practices are followed, including agile methodologies and software development principles.
  7. Continuously assess team performance and provide feedback and coaching to improve productivity and quality.
  8. Manage resource allocation, ensuring that the team is appropriately staffed and that resources are effectively utilized.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, including 4+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Strong technical background, with experience in software development and architecture.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development principles.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills, in order to launch new products and to iterate on existing ones.
  • The ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Experience managing engineering teams with a strong record of shipping.
  • An understanding of the technical details of projects, in order to be able to drive the technical roadmap of the team.
