About the Client

Our client is sourcing for a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-Month Contract.

About the Opportunity

  1. Accountable for monthly reconciliations and monitoring of grant funding expenditure for compliance with the agreement.
  2. Prepare analysis of key accounts and monitor against the budget.
  3. Reviews journal entries submitted by departments for accuracy.
  4. Monitor and support program managers/chairs/directors to ensure the expenses and revenue reported are compliant with the necessary frameworks.
  5. Accountable for reporting (including any capital projects that are funded by external agencies, if applicable) required for projects.
  6. Assists with the preparation of working papers, schedules and reports of financial results to internal departments, external auditors, and government funding agencies.
  7. Financial statement preparation.

About You

  1. CPA or equivalent experience.
  2. 3-7+ years’ experience in Accounting & Budgeting.
  3. Business Degree or similar education/experience.
  4. Strong Excel skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Process improvement experience is an asset.
  7. NPO experience is an asset.
