OverviewPractice Consultant, Practice Management - Toronto, ONJoin to apply for the Practice Consultant, Practice Management role at Scotiabank.Location: Ontario, Canada (Toronto area) – supporting advisory teams across Scotia Wealth Management in an assigned region.PurposeReporting to the Director, Practice Management in the Practice Excellence group within Scotia Wealth Management Global Wealth Solutions, the incumbent is accountable for coaching and consulting with internal advisory teams in an assigned region across all Scotia Wealth Management business lines, capturing, communicating, and coaching to the wealth management industry’s best practices – both internally and externally. The main objective is to execute on a robust practice management framework and strategy, supporting the growth and productivity of advisory teams and in-field leaders across Scotia Wealth Management.The role will be based in Ontario, supporting advisory teams located in Scotia Wealth Management offices across an assigned region.Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesProvide effective productivity coaching and leverage the expertise of Wealth partners, specialists, applications, tools, resources, and personal experience to improve key areas of practice management: talent, growth, efficiencies, team and risk management, and delivery of enriched wealth advice.Act as a resource and subject matter expert to SWM business lines in consulting with advisory teams and sharing best practices. Conduct gap analyses, assess in-field team practices, identify improvement opportunities, inform action plans, and support teams in overcoming barriers to change and monitoring results.Design, deliver, and execute practice management initiatives; develop and lead formal development programs, small group facilitation, e-learning, and individualized consultations with internal/external resources.Stay abreast of external market conditions and industry best practices to apply in consulting engagements.Collaborate with SWM leadership, Scotiabank partners, specialists, and Global Wealth Solutions to align with the Total Wealth Strategy and objectives; keep leaders informed of progress and trends.Develop strategic partnerships across SWM; work with business lines, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to implement solutions addressing practice management needs and emerging issues.Consulting & CoachingUse coaching results to continually update Practice Management best practices.Guide advisor/relationship manager teams through the practice management process, helping them navigate challenges, gain buy-in, and achieve goals.Facilitate coaching programs and engagements for advisor teams and leadership; promote collaboration, trust, and inclusive relationships inside and outside the organization.Communication & LeadershipSupport advisors, relationship managers, and leadership with understanding of their business, industry best practices, and competitive landscape.Develop and share ongoing best practices, sales, marketing, and business development ideas for advisors, relationship managers, and leadership.Create and deliver presentations on practice management topics.Use internal reporting to coach on personal and professional development opportunities.Collaborate with Practice Excellence, Global Wealth Solutions, SWM leadership and partners to help in-field teams achieve goals.Education / Experience / Other InformationUniversity education or equivalentFluent written and verbal English; additional languages are an assetCoaching certification and/or ICF accreditation is a strong assetExperience in facilitation, consulting/coaching, and influencing others10+ years in wealth management, including sales management, branch operations, financial planning, investment advisory, client service, and related activitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team within regulatory requirementsAbility to build and maintain strategic internal/external relationships to improve practice managementWorking ConditionsStandard office-based environment; non-standard hours may be required.
